A daily monochrome photo-poetry series by naozo. Since 2025, each work pairs a moment from everyday life with a poem from NZ, the artist's future self. Through glass, light, and silence, the series turns self-doubt into dialogue.

Day531【Proceed】
DEAR naozo,
Will you stop
Or continue
Which
will you choose
Some things were lost
Some things
never arrived
Some things
disappeared
But
Does that mean
it is over
Sometimes
I wonder
Perhaps people
Do not stop
because they are wounded
Perhaps they stop
Only when they decide
it is finished
Absence remains
Memory remains
Pain remains
Then
Can we not walk
While carrying them
There is no need
to return
No need to pretend
Nothing happened
What was lost
May remain lost
What is carried
May remain carried
People
Do not begin again
Again and again
They proceed
Again and again
As someone changed
Yet still walking
That is all
Strength
May not be
standing up
Perhaps it is
Refusing to end yourself
After you fall
So
I do not say
Walk
I ask
Will you proceed
Or will you end it
Which
will you choose
from NZ
This story is a work of fiction. Except for the named individuals, all elements are products of imagination. The boundary between reality and fiction is intentionally ambiguous, and its interpretation is left to the reader.
