I always took pictures of Lima. I liked to take pictures in the city périphérieque. Most of the inhabitants of the outskirts of Lima were migrants from rural areas and in cities across Peru. In Lima, these neighborhoods (slums)) is called cones: south, north, east. I liked the idea of photographing Lima and these new areas with these new social actors, who grew up, not necessarily my interests to be poor, but the effort in trying to build for themselves the city to join and contribute to economic growth. It seemed to me that I needed a way to get a pretext to deal with migrants in Lima. And do not approach the absence or poverty (pessimistic perspective) and show low life, but without denying this reality, focused on efforts in their life stories, not a deep voice but maintains a certain amount of humor and freshness., who is also a contrast.
Today the city of Lima, as you may have noticed, and the department of Ayacucho (southeast of Peru), are part of my current projects.
