Ragusa Foto Festival 2026

The 14th Ragusa Foto Festival celebrates photography that connects communities, capturing the rhythms of daily life, gestures, and landscapes, and weaving them into shared visual stories in Ragusa Ibla, Sicily.

Overview

Guided by the concept Mediterranean Archetypes, the Ragusa Foto Festival explores how photography can reveal recurring patterns and symbols in daily life, gestures, and landscapes, connecting communities and reflecting shared experiences.

Photography uncovers the invisible threads linking communities and contemporary archetypes—patterns in everyday life that reflect collective human experiences. Italian territories face common challenges, from depopulation to economic and technological shifts, and photography acts as a tool of cohesion, relating differences without erasing them.

Since 2012, Ragusa Foto Festival has fostered dialogue across visual languages and disciplines, with a focus on the South of Italy and the broader Mediterranean. Each edition revolves around a theme guiding exhibitions, workshops, and training events, bringing together artists, critics, and cultural operators, while supporting emerging photographers and exploring local life and heritage.
