The festival in Kranj, Slovenia, gathers global artists to promote contemporary photography, creating a dynamic platform for Slovenian and international works.
Overview
Kranj Foto Fest has been created to celebrate photography and its larger significance. It represents a platform for dialogue between photographers, students, curators, educators, photo enthusiasts, and the local community.
The old town of Kranj will be transformed into a hub of contemporary photography for a whole month, bringing together new and seasoned photographers from all over the world. Photo exhibitions take place in the streets, at historic landmarks, in art centers, galleries, forests, and along the river, transforming the city into an open-air gallery.
This year's edition includes portfolio reviews, exhibitions from artists such as Amina Kadous, Nisreen Nader, Kaya & Blank, Jonas Kakó, Maria Oliveira, Axel Javier Sulzbacher, Mustafa Bilge Satkin, Jakob Maentz, Mitar Simikić, Filippo Ferraro, Louie Palu, among others, and a masterclass with Viktoria Sorochinski, among other activities.
