FineArt Igualada 2026

For its 14th edition, FineArt brings photography to the streets of Igualada, showcasing works by international artists in diverse city spaces.

Overview

FineArt Igualada is an international photography festival that has transformed the historic city of Igualada, Spain into one of the most dynamic centers of photographic art in the country. Founded in 2012 through a collaboration between the Agrupació Fotogràfica d’Igualada and the Igualada Town Council, the festival was born with the mission of bringing photography closer to all audiences, energizing urban spaces, and positioning Igualada as a vibrant city of photography, design and cultural expression.

Each year, the festival opens the doors of the city’s most singular venues: schools, municipal buildings, cultural facilities, old factories and currently unused premises and transforms them into ephemeral exhibition spaces. Over the course of approximately twenty-four days, these sites host a rich array of photographic works by artists from around the world, alongside contributions from photography schools and passionate amateurs.

Exhibitions are accompanied by a guide of cultural activities designed to deepen engagement with the medium. These include talks, discussions, guided tours, workshops for adults and children, and events that unite professionals and the public alike. The festival actively fosters artistic creation and encourages educational institutions; particularly schools of photography, art and design, to showcase their projects, making the city a meeting point for established creators and emerging talent.
