BOP (Books on Photography) returns for its annual festival across the Paintworks complex in Bristol, co-organized by the Martin Parr Foundation and the Royal Photographic Society. Serving as an open gathering space for photographers, publishers, and visual arts enthusiasts, the two-day event celebrates independent photographic publishing through a dynamic public program that includes interactive displays—such as the Kraszna-Krausz Foundation’s showcase of longlisted photography books—alongside a curated line-up of eight artist talks held at the MPF Gallery, book signings, local street food, and exhibitions.

At the heart of the festival is the expansive photobook fair held in the Paintworks Event Space, bringing together dozens of independent publishers, booksellers, and self-publishing artists from across the UK, Europe, and beyond.
