BOP – Books on Photography 2024

Bristol's Annual Photobook Festival brings together a wide-ranging group of photobook publishers, artist talks, exhibitions, book signings, events, street food, coffee and beer.

Overview

BOP – Books on Photography – is the annual photobook festival from Martin Parr Foundation and The Royal Photographic Society, held in Bristol across the third weekend of October. The book fair is held across the Paintworks Event Space and the MPF gallery. Publishers, photographers and photobook sellers from across the UK, Europe and further afield will showcase the latest work happening in the photobook community.

The lineup of speakers has been curated around the latest releases and to hold conversations around important themes in photography today, including climate change and how we can create spaces for dialogue using photography. Guests include Lydia Goldblatt, Amak Mahmoodian, Vanley Burke, Max Pinckers, Sian Davey, Martin Parr, Libby Bove, Eimear Lynch, Kirsty Mackay, Trent Parke, and many publishing houses.
