ZUM/IMS 2025 Photobooks Open Call

ZUM Magazine, the Contemporary Art area and the Photography Library of the Moreira Salles Institute announce the ZUM/IMS 2025 Call for Photobooks.

Overview

The call was created in 2017 to foster the relationship of Instituto Moreira Salles with contemporary photography production focused on the publishing world. They want to know, exhibit and promote photobooks, as well as strengthen their relationships with photographers, producers, publishers, designers and the public.

Practical Info

Publications from October 2024 onwards are accepted for this edition, with no nationality restrictions. They will be evaluated by the ZUM Magazine and the IMS Photography Library team.

Each selected publication will receive an amount of R$300 as an aid. The selected works will be shown during the ZUM Festival, in November 2025, and will be on display at the IMS Photography Library. During the festival, a commission formed by external guests and members of the IMS will award the 3 best publications and each one will receive, in total, R$2,000.

Applicants must fill out the online form and send the physical publication to the specified address. Or it can be delivered in person at the IMS Paulista Photography Library. Only the publications arriving at IMS Paulista until October 10th, 2025 will be considered for the exhibition. Publications received after this date will be disregarded. Dummies entries (publication prototypes) will not be accepted.
