The Bob and Diane Fund Grant 2025

The Bob and Diane Fund seeks submissions from visual storytellers on stories about Alzheimer's Disease or dementia.

Overview

They are seeking projects in need of support to be completed, published, or exhibited. Eligible works may range from intimate stories of personal loss to projects that highlight the urgency of the growing medical crisis surrounding Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Currently, more than 44 million people across the globe are living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, with the highest prevalence found in Western Europe and North America. In the United States alone, one-third of individuals over the age of 85 are affected by the illness.

The winning entry will be announced in November 2025, in recognition of National Caregivers Month. Through this initiative, the organizers aim to support artists in creating impactful work that deepens public understanding of the disease and sparks inspiration for research and action toward ending it.

Practical Info

The participation is through a submission of a 250-500 word essay describing the project, why this work is important to you and how you see the grant helping you complete the project. Additionally photographers must submit 15-25 images accompanied by a bio and/or CV in English.

The grant amount is $5,000 and is open to applicants worldwide.

Their goal is to bring visual understanding and dialogue to a disease that has been in the shadows for far too long. As a daughter of Alzheimer’s, founder Gina Martin believes that visual storytelling can be a powerful way to advocate for the increased public and private research and spending needed to find a cure.
