Mesnographies 2026 Open Call

For its 6th edition, Les Mesnographies invites artists to submit a photographic serie on one of the most deeply taboo subjects: Incest.

Overview

Through photography, Mesnographies wants to create a space where images replace silence, where art becomes a voice. This theme requires sensitivity, respect, and strength. They are looking for works that can reveal, question, or heal without resorting to sensationalism.

There can be multiple approaches. The goal of this Focus is to raise awareness through artistic photography. Just like every year, a roundtable will be organized around the Focus’ theme with readings, testimonies, and discussions.

Practical Info

Submissions must include a PDF file with a maximum of 20 images, an introductory text about the series, and a biography to be sent by email to mesnographies@gmail.com.  When curating their series, artists need to keep in mind that this is an outdoor festival in a park accessible to all audiences, including children.

Through their open call, Mesnographies is seeking photographers for their FOCUS #6, under the theme Incest. The selected artists will join the official selection for the 6th edition of Mesnographies, alongside other photographers from the program presenting different subjects and themes.

Selected artists will be granted a 1.5-month exhibition in the Parc des Mesnuls, from June 6, 2026, to July 19, 2026, and €300 of legal copyright. Also, the festival will cover the production of all prints (prints on tarpaulins). During the opening weekend, you will be hosted by a local resident in the village and looked after for three days. However, the photographer will be responsible for their own travel expenses for the opening weekend.
