Liquida Photofestival Grant

Liquida Grant will reward the best proposals among those received with a group show and a solo show hosted within the Cavallerizza, Turin, and in other partner locations.

Overview

The best photographic projects received in the open call will be part of the 3rd edition of Liquida Photofestival, which will be hosted on May 2024 in the majestic and evocative spaces of the Cavallerizza Complex, Turin, Italy.  A jury of new photography professionals will select the 10 best single shots, thus restoring the power of the image in narrating the kaleidoscope of contemporaneity.

Practical Info

Applicants can choose to participate in the Liquida Grant in two different ways, depending on the content they intends to present.

One Shot: if the applicant wants to participate in the Liquida Grant with a single shot, the application must include a minimum of 1 shot up to a maximum of 5 shots. The jury of professionals will select 10 shots by 10 authors from all those submitted (each author may be selected with only one shot from those submitted in the application). The theme of the submitted shots is free. Each shot can be untethered from the others and multiple types of shots pertaining to different types of research may be submitted.

Full Project: this mode of participation involves an entire photographic project consisting of a minimum of 6 up to a maximum of 10 shots. In the official form, it will also be necessary to include an abstract in order to illustrate the project concept, a fundamental element for the evaluation of the application by the Award Jury. The theme of the submitted projects is open. It is important that all shots submitted can be traced back to the same photographic project.

The winners identified by the selected Jury will be No. 10 for the One Shot section, while only one project will be awarded among the candidates for the Full Project section.
