Kolga Awards 2026

A total of $6,000 in prize money will be awarded through the Kolga Awards. This includes $1,500 each for the top three categories, $1,000 for Best Single Photo, and $500 for Mobile Photography.

Overview

Kolga Tbilisi Photo Week 2026 will open on May 1, presenting a dynamic program of local and international exhibitions, master classes, seminars, discussions, and portfolio reviews. Through this program, it reaffirms its commitment to the continuous development of photography as a vital contemporary medium and to its promotion within both local and global cultural contexts.

Practical Info

The call is open to all photographers worldwide. This year, the categories are Documentary Series, Reportage, Conceptual Photo Project, Best One-Shot (Single Image), and Mobile Photo (One Shot).

While the Documentary, Reportage, and One Shot categories accept work from any device – including mobile phones – the Mobile Photo category is strictly reserved for images captured on a smartphone or tablet. Notably, the Conceptual Series category now permits the submission of projects created using Artificial Intelligence. Applicants are invited to participate in any or all of the available categories.

All submissions must include a biography. For those entering a photo series, the application requires both a title and a concept description written in English, with each field limited to a maximum of 900 characters. Once the submission period closes, the jury will evaluate the projects to select the finalists and prize recipients, who will be officially revealed on 1 May 2026.

The Kolga Awards features a total prize pool of $6,000. The winners of the first three categories will receive $1,500 each, while the recipient of the "Best Single Photo" award will be granted $1,000. Finally, the winner of the "Mobile Photography" category will receive a prize of $500.
