Boîte Editions Open Call

Boîte Editions is an independent publishing house dedicated to artist's books. Its mission is to support contemporary artistic research through the shape of the book.

Overview

Studio Boîte announces the launch of an Open Call for artists to submit ideas on original artists’ books to be realized. The winning project will be selected by Federica Boragina and Giulia Brivio, editors in chief, and will be realized by January 2025.

Practical Info

Submission is free and it addresses artists and professionals who exhibited at least once during 2023-2024 (both collective and personal exhibitions are considered). There are no restrictions on age, origin, gender, media used or research topics.

Applicants must submit their CV, short bio, artist’s statement, artist’s book’s concept, and 10-30 images about the projects (sketches, drawings and pictures are accepted).

Studio Boîte is committed to realize the winning project by January 2025, sustaining the artist book – printed in a maximum print run of 200 copies – both in every design and production stage and in the following communication.

Boîte is a studio devoted to research and production in the contest of the art publishing. From 2009 to 2018 it published Boîte magazine, and since 2014 it produces artists’ books and curates various art projects to support the contemporary artistic research through publishing processes and practices.
