The Aesthetica Art Prize celebrates contemporary art in all its forms, offering opportunities for exhibition at a major public gallery alongside publication in Aesthetica Magazine and the Aesthetica Art Prize Anthology.

Overview

The Art Prize is open to works in any genre, and on any theme, however with particular interest in works that reflect upon our ever changing world. Entries from artists at all stages of their careers are accepted. The Aesthetica Art Prize celebrates creativity in all its forms – across multiple media including Painting and Drawing; Video, Installation and Performance; Photography, Digital Art & Installation; Artists’ Film and more.

Practical Info

This year the prize invites artists to submit pieces that redefine the parameters of contemporary art and compel audiences to connect with one another. Winning pieces have reflected upon both social and political structures, questioning the value that we place on the planet and each other. They have pushed the boundaries of form and technique, providing a new set of possibilities and ideas.

Awards include £10,000 for the Main Prize, £1,000 for the Emerging Prize, a chance to participate in the annual Art Prize Exhibition and a publication in Future Now: 125 Contemporary Artists.
