ORGAN VIDA 14 Open Call

Organ Vida offers a €300 astist fee and gaining access to a variety of educational activities, including online sessions and the chance to apply for internal mentorship programs and exhibitions.

Overview

On screen, everything has become equally urgent and equally disposable. Nothing shocks. Nothing settles. Nothing lingers long enough to feel real. We are overstimulated, but underwhelmed. In 2026, Organ Vida is obviously spiraling.

The Organ Vida 2026 open call is a collaboration with FUTURES, a European-based photography platform designed to support and elevate emerging talent. They invite artists from all over the world who work with image-based practices to participate in their upcoming festival. The organization is open to a variety of media, including photography and video, as well as hybrid practices that examine images in relation to sound, sculpture, or spatial expansion through installations and performances.

Practial Info

They are seeking projects that specifically respond to the theme of Happy Spiraling. The selection process is focused on finished projects that are ready for public presentation by the scheduled exhibition date. To apply, artists must submit an online form that includes a specific artistic work, a comprehensive portfolio, and a CV. A major component of the program is the mandatory attendance at an in-person annual event scheduled for June 2026, for which Organ Vida covers travel, accommodation, and daily allowances. All selected artists are also promoted through the platform’s website, social media, and an annual printed publication.

The chosen artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their work at the main curated exhibition during the 14th Organ Vida Festival, which is set to open at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb in mid-June 2026.

The selection committee consists of a panel of six professionals, including the festival's core curatorial team (Barbara Gregov, Lovro Japundžić, and Lea Vene), alongside guest jurors Tia Čiček, Natalija Paunić, and Hana Čeferin.
