Tatiana Parcero (Mexico City) is a photo and video based artist. She has a MA from New York University and the International Center of Photography (NYU/ICP) in the fields of Art Theory and Photography, and a BA in Psychology from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
She blends various techniques and visual media, including black and white and color photographs, digital images and video. In her work she explores the corporeal as a map where she can relate to concepts as different as identity, memory, territory, time and migrations.
At the present time she works in images that explores the impact of climate changes and the preservation of the natural environment.
Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in solo and group shows at venues including: Museum of Contemporary Art (MOT) Tokyo, Japan, Lowe Art Museum, Miami, FL, Houston Center of Photography (HCP), Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach California (MoLAA), Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix, Arizona, The Mexican Museum, San Francisco, CA, The Museum of Modern Art, NY, USA; Museo Nacional de Arte, Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City, Bienal de la Habana, Cuba, Photographic Triennial, Tampere Finland, Primavera Fotográfica, Barcelona, Spain, Festival Biarritz, France, to name a few.
Through March 2016 her solo show “Universus” were shown at Centro Cultural Recoleta (CCR) in Buenos Aires, Argentina and until September 2016 “Cartographies” will be on display at Miami International Airport, North Terminal, Gate 25.
Since 1992 she has lived in NY, Miami and at the present time she lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
