A meditation on the shared materiality of humans and nature, where bodies, landscapes, animals, and plants become interconnected forms of the same living matter.
We Are Just Salt and Soil explores the fragile relationship between the human body and the natural world. Landscapes, animals, plants, and fragments of the body are presented without hierarchy, as interconnected forms of the same living matter. Moving between intimacy and wilderness, the series reflects on belonging, vulnerability, and impermanence. Salt speaks of tears, blood, and the sea; soil carries memory, decay, and renewal. Together, they become a reminder that human existence is inseparable from the environment and will ultimately return to it.
