A single image becomes a landscape of light and shadow. I explore the distance between presence and absence, between question and answer, and between bodies—seeking to witness absence and understand what separates us.
This project explores a single image—a tree—and its infinite possibilities through light and shadow. By moving from black to white, I investigate what separates one image from another, where difference arises.
The tree evokes my center, my presence, a place of grounding, at times like a cave—intimate, safe, but humid. The work emerges from a personal desire for intimacy with another body, seeking to understand the distance between bodies, between presence and absence, and between questions and answers.
Visually and emotionally, I explore the tension between what is and what is missing, creating a space where the image becomes a vessel for introspection and the search for meaning.
