Ritual of Extraction examines how femininity is constructed through discipline, repetition, and bodily control. Using worn bras, masks, and sculptural body extensions, the series transforms intimate garments into symbols of pressure, ritual, and resistanc

This work examines how the body is shaped, disciplined, and consumed through systems of visibility, control, and expectation.

The bra appears as a loaded object — a device designed to support, contain, and standardize the body, while simultaneously producing it as an image. Detached from its function, it becomes evidence: of pressure, repetition, and slow violence. Burned, deformed, and accumulated, these garments reveal what remains after prolonged use — not care, but exhaustion.

The body in this series resists coherence. It is masked, fragmented, expanded, and burdened. It does not perform stability or desirability, but exposes the labor required to maintain them. Gestures echo ritual, but not devotion — rather submission, repetition, and survival within imposed structures.

Instead of presenting the body as a site of empowerment, the work insists on its condition as a contested surface — one that is continuously reshaped by external forces, yet never fully resolved.

What is revealed is not identity, but residue.
