I am a Laikipian Maasai and the first female filmmaker in my community with interests in documenting and linking, amplifying and scaling up youth and women voices across diverse indigenous cultures in Kenya, worldwide and in future.

This is a project on my culture as well as other indigenous cultures across Kenya. It is an ongoing project that I intend to travel to interior and remote places in Kenya to capture culture and traditions through photography and cinematography. So far I have managed to capture the camel derby event always happening annually in Samburu county and the Camel caravan event that happens annually across counties in Kenya such as Laikipia, Samburu,Marsabit and Isiolo counties.

I want to tell culture and traditions stories as well as practices through the new Media in the sense that culture meets Media.I believe with this project generations to come will be able to see our culture and get to want to know and find out more of their roots.Am hoping with this project I can be able to get future findings to start a cultural school in Kenya.
