The project is a tribute to memory, presence and quiet observation. Through images, it invites the viewer to slow down, look closer, and feel the quiet traces that time threatens to erase.
This project is a visual exploration of how the past and present intersect in everyday spaces. It looks at the marks left by daily life—on walls, in routines, and in the quiet of abandoned places—showing how surroundings and materials carry the stories of those who came before.
At its heart, this project is a tribute to my grandfather, grandmother, and aunt, who lived in a small village in the south of Italy, surrounded by forests and mountains. Their world, like so many others, is slowly fading, but through these photographs, I aim to maintain its presence. "Lost in Time" is not just about forgotten architecture, but about remembering the people who shaped these places. It is about how the past quietly survives in what remains.
The project encourages people to slow down and observe their surroundings, including their path, what they see, and what they encounter. It aims to highlight the importance of everyday moments and fill their own journey with meaning.
We move through our days on autopilot, unaware of one another and the world around us. It’s important to take a moment to lift our heads, truly notice each other, and reconnect with our world. By being present, we can create a sense of meaning and understanding of what we leave behind.
