"Atlântica" is an intimate look at the north coast of São Paulo state. Aiming to capture sensations and particularities of that region - an area that its identity is challenged by growing impacts of climate change.

The coastline is a place where the past and present merge, creating a sense of nostalgia and change. As a magical place in constant transformation, its identity is challenged by evolving communities that experience a tension between tradition and modernity. The impermanence of life is reflected in both human relationships and the changing nature of the environment, especially with the growing impacts of climate change.

In this changing landscape, the urgent need for biological reconnection with nature arises. Humans, often detached from their natural surroundings, recognize the importance of restoring a practical relationship with the environment in order to ensure the area’s future preservation. Change is constant, and now more than ever, it’s essential to understand that the future of the coastline depends on maintaining its ecosystem and respecting its natural foundations.
