La force de la douceur (The power of softness)

La force de la douceur is an ode to resilience; like an invisible

and powerful heritage that inhabits us.

The works are delicate and comforting on

the surface, but, deep down, scream a powerful

message. Thus, the series addresses head-on the dichotomy

between the notions of strength and softness,

which are too often misunderstood and interchanged in

the collective imagination. La force de la douceur evokes

the fact that the opposition between these two terms is

erroneous since true strength essentially emanates from

gentleness itself. Contrary to what may be understood

in common language, the notion of strength is in no way

a synonym for power or violence, which are rather the

expression of the weakness or fragility of the ego.

La force de la douceur also invites us to have a moment to think about the ancestral labor of women at home, the mental load and the free labor that mothers produce behind close curtains, while their spouses perform in their professional lives

and get richer.
