Jiggen Jiggen

Jiggen jiggen ( Wolof ) means woman woman in English . This project is an ode to women, it’s about women stories, from a younger age till adulthood women go through many stages and journeys. My practice autobiographically references the intersection between feminity with nature While celebrating childhood, motherhood, Beauty, sisterhood and analyzing puberty, women struggles, pregnancy and transmission in Africa or in it’s diaspora. Jiggen Jiggen is centered around black women.
