Internal Sunlight

The images explore a state between visibility and disappearance, using shadow not as absence, but as a space for introspection and emotional pause.

These self-portraits are born in the moment when the day falls silent.
As the sun lowers, light no longer describes it cuts, reveals, conceals. The body stands between presence and absence, half visible, half withdrawn. The face does not seek recognition; it becomes a surface upon which the shadows of time are cast.

Here, shadow is not the absence of light but a space for reflection. It covers the eyes, weighs down the gaze, and shifts attention to traces: the skin, the hand that reaches, the body resting on the ground. The self-portrait moves away from representation and closer to the experience of being present without being fully seen.

These images do not speak of identity, but of a state of being. Of the moment when light departs and leaves behind a silence, where the body becomes vulnerable, almost anonymous. There, at the threshold, the gaze turns inward not to find answers, but to remain, a little longer, within the shadow.
