I work with photography as a tool for mapping what resists visibility — the subconscious terrain where thought loses its footing and reality becomes unreliable.

INFERNO is a visual project that uses the photographic medium to explore the liminal space of thought, a hidden map of the subconscious between reality and imagination.

In the sphere of rest and the dream dimension, even everyday experience is influenced by it, playing tricks on us within a new reality. What emerges oscillates across multiple levels — from the perfect lucidity of the lucid dream to the fragmented lacunae of memory, through to the complete dissolution and mystification of reality — the project thus expresses the unsettled ground of submerged feeling.

The subject shifts with every scene, an unwitting accomplice in its own disintegration; it lives through these photographs — performative, swift, perpetually on the threshold of choice, suspended between taking its own position or becoming the representative of a stereotype within society.

There are no zones open to colour — they already seem to tell of an ending; the inner dimensions appear intangible, and intrusive thoughts condition their reality.

The project therefore imagines this unnatural absence of respite. We retreat into sleep hoping for relief, but like a contrary and pure force, our subconscious acts perseveringly upon our lives as though it had saturated the ability and the will to move forward, catalysing the anti-logical ideal of escape.

INFERNO visualises an intellectual cycle that transforms nature into its own selfnegation — all force overturns into exhaustion. The photographs allude to inhabiting the most uncomfortable part of ourselves, to representing what we are not: a hidden place we visit with ever-increasing frequency. Dissolution exists and is not a promise of rebirth, but the recognition of a reality without lyric, visible only in the moment before dying.
