In Place

In the end, the "In Place" exhibition by artist Saja Quttaineh is a unique artistic experience that redefines our relationship with place and time. Through her lens, Saja transports us to familiar yet neglected spaces, unveiling hidden new aesthetics behind everyday scenes we have become accustomed to seeing without contemplation. The images showcase a state of slow reflection, challenging the rapid pace of life and reminding us of the importance of returning to our visual and human roots.

In each image, the space emerges as a living entity, pulsating with stories and meanings, where layers of history, identities, and social struggles intersect. These works reshape the concept of place, making it more than just a geographic location; it becomes a sensory and cultural experience that connects the individual with their surroundings.

The exhibition highlights Saja's deep interaction with her analog camera, reflecting her insistence on maintaining an intimate relationship with the finer details and traditional techniques. Through this approach, the images transform into artworks that pulse with life, reflecting the spirit of the place and its inhabitants, while carrying a visual dialogue that spans between the past and present.

"In Place" is not just an exhibition; it is an open invitation to contemplate and engage with the details of everyday life, and to rethink our relationship with place and space. It is an artistic and human testimony that affirms the power of art to transcend time and borders, offering a profound and sensitive vision of our ever-changing world.
