Impermanencias

To inhabit a desolate country is to live in the continuous search to belong. A search, sometimes rabid and sometimes innocent. Thinking from the edge, often, is to be the edge and such a condition only leads to tearing apart.

"ser lo irreversible, las marcas del tiempo acumuladas

en heridas que no cicatrizan

intentar, en vano, romper los lazos que me unen a las cosas"

(Catalina Ríos)

To inhabit a desolate country is to live in the continuous search to belong. A search, sometimes rabid and sometimes innocent. Thinking from the edge, often, is to be the edge and such a condition only leads to tearing apart.

This work is a poetic essay on the trajectory of light in the semi-urban spaces where I was born, a photographic corpus that explores the possibilities of the exposure rediscovering images lost in my childhood memory.
