I Reflect You, Reflecting Me

This project was an exploration of intimacy, isolation and resilience in relationships and how self-image and projection affects how we are seen and treated by others.

This project was meant to be a visual conversation on human relationships and tell a story of vulnerability, emotional barriers, projection and interdependence.

Set against the liminal space of the beach, the two figures dressed in red and pink gowns represent passion and vulnerability. Their gestures of touch and closeness persists despite the physical barriers of the cube "heads", symbolizing the human need for intimacy and understanding even within alienation (self inflicted or otherwise). The transparent cube represents openness and vulnerability while the reflective cube distorts, symbolizing projection and self image. They swap "heads" throughout the images, depicting each perspective is not fixed to one person but a shared, shifting human experience.
