A dialogue between woman and land—portraits printed with light on leaves, revealing bonds of identity and resistance
Huellas explores the ancestral bond between women and the land in rural Ecuador. Each portrait is printed through vegetal photosensitivity on banana, cacao, coffee, and garden leaves. Sunlight activates the image and time fixes it, turning nature into a living support and memory.
The project merges art, ecology, and territory to question the separation between humanity and nature. Through this organic process, photography becomes an act of care that rescues ancestral knowledge and highlights the everyday strength of rural women. Huellas offers a visual poetics where body and earth engage in dialogue, leaving their shared trace.
