Falling In

"Falling in" refers to being plunged into the reality of war and fear. At the same time, it is a military command used to direct a group of people marching in formation.

Based on photographic and video documentation, a bead art installations, and personal testimonies, the project explores the mechanisms by which the totalitarian system impacts individuals and society. The authorities control people, turning them into obedient masses through ideology, disciplinary methods, and control. Relationships between the state and the individual are shaped by the mechanical execution of commands, hierarchy, and fear. Family, friendship, and social ties are broken, replaced by a system of subordination. Individuality is erased, and voice disappears. By appealing to values such as love for one's homeland, patriotism, and courage, the ideology normalizes violence, using it as a tool for maintaining power. In this reality, culture, compassion, and critical reflection on the mechanisms of power become symbols of hope in attempts to preserve a crumbling world and build new connections.
