Étude de Femme D'Afrique

Ongoing series, started in 2024 in Tanzania, East Africa, celebrating the beauty of African women.

The project 'Etude de Femme D'Afrique' started in the beginning of 2024. I live in East Africa and have the rare opportunity to photograph African women, to slowly study their beauty and, without any rush, create images of them inspired by cinematographers who work with color. All images are taken with analogue camera and hand processed by me in my darkroom.

Further into this ongoing project I plan to include women of older ages along with the traditional clothing to create a link between the present and the past.
