These images are what we are rapidly losing in our time: we are too focused on ourselves and our environment, but rarely pay attention to the space and time within a few metres of us, which includes our surrounding lives and close people.
The normal body temperature of a person is 36-37 degrees, 37 degrees as the threshold of body sensation, every 0.2 degrees, the body will secrete a substance called phenylethylamine alcohol, when it stimulates the brain and central nervous system, the body sensation will feel warm and pleasant. In this way, these visual memories, calibrated by body temperature, constitute my way of visualising the‘intimate field’.
At the heart of these images is what we are rapidly losing in our time: we are too focused on ourselves and our environment, but we pay little attention to the space and time within a few metres of us, which includes the life around us and the people we are close to. And these are one of the contents that everyone valued so much in the previous era. This rapidly disappearing content makes contemporary people feel the lack of it, which is what I desperately want to show and what I desperately want to retain.
