Domestic violence in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia with a population of about 19 million. In Kazakhstan, about 400 women die annually as a result of domestic violence. Despite the adopted legislative and practical measures, this problem remains very urgent. As you know, a victim of domestic violence often refuses to file a complaint and investigate. Courts terminate administrative cases on reconciliation of the parties.

I shoot staged photographs for this project, which convey the essence of the issue in a softer form, which, unlike documentary ones, are not so shocking. With my project, I also want to draw the attention of the world community to this problem, and also call on the victims of violence not to be silent about it.
