The portrait series “Daughter,” “Wife,” “Mother” is at once a game, a reflection, and a touch of autobiography.
It all began with a discovery: at work, I came across a headless mannequin completely covered in embroidery. Little girls love playing with dolls — as it turned out, adults do too. I was lucky to find another “playmate,” and together we brought this idea to life.
With this short series, I wanted to speak about three roles that, for me personally, turned out to be central in a woman’s life.
The order in which the photographs appear — Daughter, Wife, Mother — is not accidental. It is like stages of growing up, a journey from the beginning to the culmination, although in real life these roles often coexist and overlap. The works are arranged as if in ascending order of significance.

The role of Daughter is the foundation, the trunk of the tree, because it is something no one can take away from me — it is my Beginning. The role of Wife is the center, the connecting thread, a vital link in this chain. In marriage, a woman may simultaneously feel herself both a daughter and a mother. For me, these three roles cannot fully exist without one another.
Of course, this is not a universal formula — every woman has her own story. But, as we know, an author always speaks about themselves first.
And it was important to me that the model could also relate to these images...
