A photographic essay that reveals the traces of the human condition present in turbulent but magical spaces that gives us an island in disguise. A nocturnal walk without preambles in Havana where people confusedly escape from their own skin; leaving testimony of intangible feelings.
Traveling and photography become inseparable, the desire to find oneself in a distant land and take advantage of the role of foreigner, to reveal questions that in the daily life is completely sealed and inaccessible, is the main search engine of this project. A journey that goes from what’s tangible to what´s abstract, passing through symbols that make sense only once you are away from home; while trying to appease the feeling of loneliness inherent in the nomadic spirit of the human being.
A photographic essay that reveals the traces of the human condition present in turbulent but magical spaces that gives us an island in disguise. A nocturnal walk without preambles in Havana where people confusedly escape from their own skin; leaving testimony in mysterious fragments and abstractions the profound searches for the authenticities of intangible feelings, which are reflected in vulnerabilities, fears and loneliness of the human being.
Through the greenish and bluish tint, cold atmospheres and dim lighting, the feeling of emptiness, loneliness and exhaustion becomes clear. This photographic testimony allows me to expose the experience of reproducing my feelings with the experiences of others. The power to empathize with the suffering of the Cuban people, which encloses the sensuality in which it resists on a daily basis and makes us ponder and consider what is real and what is not, or rather, what we accept as real and what we do not.
