“Scars” explores human resilience and strength, transforming the marks of the past into stories of rebirth and courage.

There are stories that do not cry out.

Stories that remain hidden, that do not seek pity, but space.

Space to be recognized.

Cicatrici (Scars) was born from this: from a desire to listen, from a sincere encounter with people who have

gone through a fracture, and who were not afraid to show themselves.

I had the privilege of portraying them.

Each photograph in this project is the result of time shared, of an exchange made up of respect,

fragility, and trust. I did not seek heroes or victims. I sought human beings who bear visible

or invisible marks of what life has engraved on them.

Over time, I realized that behind every scar there really is a story.

Not a phrase to hang on the wall, but something I heard repeated in the tone of their voices, in their silences, in their

gestures.

A story that sometimes does not require words, but only to be looked at.

Carefully. Gently. With time.

Cicatrici is a work that took two years to complete, born outside the logic of the market, far from the urgency

of production. It was a journey backwards into the skin, memory, and emotions.

It is not a project for quick consumption.

It does not lend itself to glossy events or showcases.

It speaks softly, but deeply. For this reason, it requires a space capable of welcoming it with the same

care and attention with which it was created.

Cicatrici needs a form that enhances its content: quality prints, an appropriate setting,

perhaps a catalog.

Not as a whim, but because a work built with respect deserves to be returned with equal

dignity.

I am not just looking for a financier, nor a simple supporter.

I am looking for an authentic interlocutor, an entity that shares the value of this work and wants to

invest responsibly in its integrity and dignity.

A cultural, social, human entity that understands the value of work based on listening, presence,

and truth.

Someone who is not afraid of silence, slowness, complexity.

Someone who knows how to recognize beauty even where it is imperfect, crooked, but deeply

human.

Cicatrici does not want to teach anything. It just wants to exist.

To be seen, traversed, returned.

Because every scar, in the end, is a form of survival.
