This series delves into the foundational human inclination—the desire to create a sense of home. It is inspired by the perseverance required to establish a dwelling, including the oxymoronic and imperfect nature of those first attempts.

The artist draws from his memory of growing up in a home built with care and resolve by his parents—who also encouraged him to construct his own toys as a child—and his current experience of shaping his own living space, weaving these narratives to examine the evolving meanings of connection and place. Through an interplay of memory, aspiration, and humor, this project invites viewers to contemplate the multifaceted journey of finding and defining one’s place in the world.
