A Universal Bond

The series of photos depicted here show the cultivation of the grandparent-grandchild relationship through a span of 6 years. Hands show the passage of time and the developing bond. Further, they show how family traditions are maintained, creative passions are passed down and staying healthy is prioritized.

My daughter is now 10 years old. The first photo depicted is when she was 4 yrs old. My parents live 650 miles away, so time with their granddaughter is precious. The decisions of today of how to spend that time together significantly impact the future of that special universal grandchild-grandparent bond. The family tradition of making Christmas cookies is cultivated even virtually during COVID. A passion for art and crafting is passed down. And, the future of that bond depends on the decisions of today regarding a focused compliance with life saving medicines in order to stay alive longer to have more time with their grandchild.
