Content Guidelines

Below, you will find detailed guidelines on how to create a post on PhMuseum. Following these recommendations will ensure your content fits the right post type and is effectively presented, making it suitable to be selected for a feature by our editorial team.

Projects

The Projects section welcomes artists to upload their bodies of work. Please note that each post is meant to include one project only.

Profile type: Make sure your profile is complete and updated.
If you are a photography duo, you can mark your profile as such under “Profile Type”, specifying the duo’s name under “Display name”.

Title: The title should consist of the full title of your project, formatted in Title Case.

Cover image: This will be the image showing on the Projects landing page, and on the homepage in case your post gets featured: make sure to choose a strong and representative picture. It should be a plain image, with no graphic design elements added to it.

Text: The “short description” should consist of a brief excerpt, providing the reader with an overview of the work. The text box below is meant to be filled with a more in-depth description. We recommend keeping it within 300 to 500 words, dividing the text into clear paragraphs, and starting with a strong introduction. Consider that the use of English will make your entry more accessible (we suggest a free app like Grammarly to double check it). We suggest formatting the text simply: please avoid the use of Headings, Quotes and Lists, while you can use bold and italics. You can and embed links in the text to provide additional content (e.g. to a video or multimedia presentation hosted externally).

Images: To be considered for a feature, upload at least 10-12, high-quality sequenced images. You can define their order by dragging and dropping them in the desidered position. If you wish, you can add captions to single images to provide more context.

News Items

The News Items section welcomes organizations and/or independent writers to upload articles.

Profile type: Make sure your profile is complete and updated. You can mark your profile as an Organization under “Profile Type”. Please write your full name under “First name” and “Last name”, and the organization’s name under “Display name”.
