FotoFestival Manzana 1

Taking place in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, FotoFestival Manzana 1 is the largest photography event in Bolivia.

Overview

From Wednesday, November 20th to Sunday, November 24th, Manzana 1 will hold the International Photo Festival, an event that will bring together photographers and editors from around the world.

It will be an enriching experience for the general public who will be able to witness documentary and photojournalistic topics from many different places. In addition to the main event, there will be six photo workshops offering hands-on learning opportunities with professional photographers and editors and portfolio reviews. The festival will also feature evening projections of photographic works, lectures, artist talks and guided tours of exhibitions, providing a visual journey through various themes and styles.

Highlights include a comprehensive panel featuring all the guest photographers, alongside individual conferences where these professionals will share their life stories and recount personal anecdotes as witnesses to major global events. The festival’s educational aspect is bolstered by exclusive workshops, taught by photo experts Monica Allende, Soren Pagter, Marie A. Monteleone, photographer Klavdij Sluban, Esther Horvath, Tomas Munita and Santiago Escobar-Jaramillo.

Plus, each evening, the festival will feature projections of local Bolivian photographers and exhibiting artists, providing a visual journey through various themes and styles.
