Overview
The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts has put out a call for photographers to participate in a worldwide photography competition, sponsored by Visit Tampa Bay. Winners are selected by an international jury knowledgeable of art and photography.
Practical Info
The competition features a diverse range of categories, inviting submissions in People and Portraits, Places and Landscapes, and Nature, Science, and Animals. They also welcome entries in Documentation and Photojournalism, Still Life, Abstract Photography, and Conceptual Photography.
The Best in Competition winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize, inclusion in a group exhibition at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA), and consideration for a solo exhibition at their premier location in Tampa’s historic Ybor District.
For each category, First Prize winners will receive at least $100 in goods and services, a physical group exhibition at FMoPA, a digital showcase on the museum’s website, and consideration for a featured exhibition in Ybor City, Tampa. Second and Third Prize winners will also be recognized through inclusion in the museum's group exhibition and a dedicated digital showcase on the FMoPA website.
