Awarded to encourage the work of a photojournalist committed to long-term projects, this €8,000 prize is designed to help a photographer carry out and complete a reporting project which is already under way.

Overview

The association "Camille Lepage – On est ensemble" (Camille Lepage – We are together) was created on September 20, 2014, a few months after the death of photojournalist Camille Lepage in the Central African Republic while she was working on a report.

The association was set up by her family to commemorate Camille, her work and commitment, to provide assistance and protection for photojournalists working in conflict areas, to support communities that are victims of such conflicts, and, while doing so, to promote values that were so important to Camille.

Today, the €8,000 prize is awarded to encourage the work of a photojournalist committed to long-term projects and designed to help a photographer carry out and complete a reporting project which is already underway.
