Albin considers photography as a powerful tool to express his vision of the world he lives in. It is his way to participate to it.
He tries, through photography, to represent Human and human activities in space and landscapes (often urban), and also, in a different approach, to transcribe his mental images of memory and reminiscences.
In an aesthetic approach between Fine Art and Documentary, his photography evolves between personal projects, institutional and corporate assignments and publication.
In 2011, he joined France(s), Territoire Liquide, (a french collective on landscape photography, which redefine France by its landscapes), with his work on french boundaries, entitled «The Limits of France, the limits of a territory», for which he received the CNAP Fine Arts National Centre) grant, via the «Contemporary Documentary Photography Fund, (French Culture and Communication Minister), in 2013.
This work has been shown in a large exhibition in June 2014 at the tri-postal, Lille, and a book, published by “Le Seuil” and many other printed and other publications. Other exhibitions are coming too in 2017.
Since 2012 he is represented by PlainPictures for illustration pictures, and by Riviere/Faiveley gallery - Paris, for artist prints sales.
Since 2006, Albin is Harry Gruyaert's personal assistant (MagnumPhoto).
