False friends, is composed of 19 art books’ photos, in various languages, in conjunction with their audio books translated into Spanish through computer software. This software, which builds words through pre-established phonetics, created a new text, a new interpretation of the collected books.

This software, which builds words through pre-established phonetics, created a new text, a new interpretation of the collected books, generating poetic deformations that we can hear through a robotic voice that recites each of the books.

A false friend is a word or expression of a foreign language that is confused with a similar word in the native language, although its meanings are really different. Fake friends are one of the greatest enemies of translators. The only important advice to this effect is to be alert and to remember that in the translation the affirmation of Wittgenstein can be applied: "The meaning of a word depends on the use that is given to it".

Falsos amigos, es una obra que se compone de 19 fotografías de libros de arte, en diversos idiomas, en conjunto con sus audios libros traducidos al Castellano. Es una colección que fui adquiriendo durante varios años a través de amigos viajeros y viajes propios.

Los 19 libros que presento están en diversas lenguas como el hindu, japonés, alemán, árabe, portugués, entre otros. Fueron traducidos al castellano a través de un software de computadora. Este programa interpretó los textos escaneados y los tradujo generando un audio-libro. Este Software, que arma palabras a través de fonéticas preestablecidas, creó un nuevo texto, una nueva interpretación de los libros recolectados, generando deformaciones poéticas que podemos escuchar a través de una voz robótica que nos recita cada uno de los libros.

Un amigo falso es una palabra o expresión de un idioma extranjero que se confunde con una palabra similar en el idioma nativo, aunque sus significados son realmente diferentes.

Los falsos amigos son uno de los mayores enemigos de los traductores.

El único consejo importante a este efecto es estar alerta y recordar que en la traducción se puede aplicar la afirmación de Wittgenstein: "El significado de una palabra depende del uso que se le da".
