1-to-1 Mentorship Booking Terms

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern bookings and participation in PhMuseum 1-to-1 mentorship services available on PhMuseum webpages, including mentor profile pages and related booking pages (the "Mentorship Services").

These Terms apply between you ("you", "Student", or "Consumer", if applicable) and PHmuseum Srl ("PhMuseum", "we", "us"), with registered office at Via Paolo Fabbri 10/2a, 40138 Bologna, Italy, Company Number IT03908051208.

By clicking a booking, purchase, or payment confirmation button for a mentorship session or package, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms, together with PhMuseum's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of service

1.1 PhMuseum provides a booking and payment platform for online 1-to-1 mentorship sessions delivered by selected mentors.

1.2 Session format, duration, language, availability, and any included follow-up materials are described on the relevant mentor and booking pages.

1.3 Unless expressly stated otherwise, mentorship sessions are educational/editorial guidance services and do not constitute legal, financial, medical, psychological, or other regulated professional advice.

1.4 You must be at least 18 years old to purchase Mentorship Services.

2. Booking, payment, and validity period

2.1 Fees are shown during checkout. Payment is due in advance through the payment methods enabled on the PhMuseum platform.

2.2 A booking is confirmed only after successful payment and PhMuseum confirmation on platform and/or email.

2.3 Mentorship sessions or session credits purchased as a package must be fully used within 12 months from the purchase date unless a shorter validity period is expressly shown at checkout.

2.4 Any unused session entitlement automatically expires at the end of the applicable validity period and is non-refundable, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

3. Consumer withdrawal, cancellations, and refunds (Italy/EU B2C)

3.1 If you are purchasing as a consumer, these Terms are intended to comply with Italian consumer law, including Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code), as applicable to distance contracts for services.

3.2 Where mandatory law grants a withdrawal right, you may withdraw within 14 days from purchase without giving reasons.

3.3 However, to the extent permitted by law, by booking a session that starts within the 14-day withdrawal period you expressly request immediate performance of the service. In this case:

  • if the service has been fully performed, you acknowledge that the withdrawal right may be lost;
  • if the service has been partially performed at the time of withdrawal, PhMuseum may retain an amount proportionate to the service already delivered.

3.4 For services relating to leisure activities with a specific date or period of performance, the withdrawal right may be excluded where Article 59 of the Italian Consumer Code applies.

3.5 Outside mandatory legal rights above, fees are non-refundable once paid, except where PhMuseum or the mentor cancels a booked session and rescheduling is not offered.

4. Student responsibilities

4.1 You are responsible for:

  • providing accurate and complete booking/account information;
  • ensuring a suitable internet connection and functioning devices/software;
  • joining sessions from an appropriate environment and on time;
  • complying with PhMuseum's community standards and respectful conduct expectations.

4.2 You must not record, distribute, publish, or commercially exploit session content without prior written authorization from both PhMuseum and the mentor.

5. Mentor status

5.1 Mentors act as independent collaborators/professionals and are not employees of PhMuseum.

5.2 PhMuseum remains responsible for operating the booking/payment platform and customer support channels related to purchases made through PhMuseum.

6. Liability

6.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, PhMuseum is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of opportunity, or loss of data arising from your use of Mentorship Services.

6.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law (including consumer protection law).

7. Changes, governing law, and jurisdiction

7.1 PhMuseum may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions become effective upon publication on PhMuseum webpages, unless otherwise required by law.

7.2 These Terms and any non-contractual obligations connected with them are governed by Italian law.

7.3 Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent court identified under applicable mandatory law. For matters where a choice is legally permitted, the courts of Bologna, Italy shall have jurisdiction.
