This project is very personal. It documents my obsession of photographing my grandmother. In Greek απαθανατίζω (to capture an images) also has the meaning of immortalizing. Its her portrait and the portrait of her house. The house she still lives in, in her dreams .

The house of my grandmother and my grandmother herself, grow old together. Since she moved out of her home into a nursing house, leaving most of her staff untouched, they both get "dusty and wrinkled".
This story could be developed in theory in many ways. The approach could be over time and space, over the need of a home, and the difference of a home and a house, over familiarity and non familiarity, over movement and stability, over change, over flow and roots. I prefer not to develop it, letting just the ambience of the pictures create any thoughts or feelings possible. This project is very personal, and works in many levels of memories and feelings. Even the smallest details in these photos bring up memories of childhood and the feeling of being home.
