The Time of Flowering is Now

The Time of Flowering Is Now is a selection of memory links to nearly 30 performed rituals during 2019-2022 that resulted in portrait photo series to appreacate what is while coping with personal losses, grief and anxiety.

After several losses among my closest there was just immense emptiness, that led me for quest for resources of intimacy, oneness and joy that found its answers in ancient wisdom of nature. 

Blossoms and plant motives have been an inseparable part of all known rituals, connecting material world to the void, be it celebrating life, showing gratitude, being in transition or initiating to a new. 

The aim of creating flower rituals was to find a way to relax into the  process, to reconnect with nature, creating an opportunity to experience internal space and silence as body practice while covering and being covered with flowers. 

Though I started covering people with flowers as a portrait photo project, during every performed ritual the process revealed its true preciousness of dedicated time spent one-on-one. Paradoxically the process faced also a question of privacy, personal value of intimate rituals, authenticity, quality of connection and necessity of sharing these special moments publicly.
