Crew ID

Crew ID is a pure and essential representation of what the life onboard of Cruise Ships is. Crew ID summaries the being far away from home for months, that nostalgia feeling, the long work days, the loneliness. The anger, the hierarchy and the orders. The emptiness when the crowd isn't around.


To represent this other Reality isn’t easy, it is continuously changing and moving and transforming. The only thing to remain the same are the lives of the People who unconsciously (?) decide to devote themselves to the Sea. Eventually forever.

This is not another photographic project with some important themes to discuss. Or an ambitious and pretentious series that needs a smart eye to be resolved. This is a Romantic Tribute to the Ones, who in the loneliness of the Oceans, are living another dimension pulling Themselves away from the reality. But what reality is, which one is the right prospective, is there any, are there any, why? Crew ID will not give any of these answers. Do not look for these in here. It wouldn’t be poetic at all. Just walk in tiptoes in silence and from the other side of the glass look at all this happening. Just be a spectator. They will be happy to look after you.
