Northwest Passage reflects personal and assignment work from the 1970s and 1980s in the U.S. Pacific Northwest

My eighteen to twenty-eight year old self made these photographs. I carried my camera everywhere in those days. Some of these were culled from news assignments from when I worked on a small newspapers. Others are documents of my friends, events, and places that caught my eye.

Though these images all share the connection of being triggered by the same index finger, they were never intended to fit as a singular body of work. But looking at them today, far off into the future of when they were captured, I find a loose, naïve, but highly satisfying story of my young self.
